Ontario Council of Folk Festivals (OCFF) Bob MacKenzie is a member of the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals. Tower Poetry Society Bob was a member of The Tower Poetry Society from 1968 until the mid-seventies. Several of his poems were published in The Tower and in the Society's 25th anniversary anthology, Pine's the Canadian Tree. In 1974, Bob organized "The Tower Exhibition," a mixed-media art show featuring many of Ontario's best painters and sculptors along with poetry by members of The Tower Society. Canadian Author's Association In both Alberta and Ontario, Bob was an active member of The Canadian Author's Association from 1966 until the mid-seventies. League of Canadian Poets The League of Canadian Poets is one writer's organization Bob never got around to joining. Go figure. Songwriter's Association of Canada Kingston Musicians' Union Bob is a past president of Kingston Musicians' Union, Local 518, A. F. of M. Lost Action Heroes Lost Action Heroes was a talented young Alberta based punk/reggae/ska band that featured Bob's nephew Gord King on trombone. Check out their CD, "Watch It Go."
