Photograph taken by Bob MacKenzie, a Canadian poet

This 24" by 36" photograph of an old man was taken by Bob MacKenzie on Bob-Lo Island, near Windsor, Ontario in the late 1970's. Bob wrote the poem "Approaching Eve" (below) to accompany the photograph.

Approaching Eve

Overtaken by time
He is as he began

The multitude has passed
As gone as begotten

Not rib, but heart of him
Even she has returned

Across the open space
He seeks the Potter's hand.
