About Courtney Milne, author of Spirit of the Land

PREVIOUS WORK: The Sacred Earth, a series of books on the Canadian Prairies, more than two dozen exhibitions of his photography throughout North America and abroad, contributing editor to Photo Digest. In 1993, he has been awarded the National Association of Photographic Art's prestigious Gold Medal for Distinction in Canadian Photography.

BACKGROUND: Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Conducts workshops and seminars and has led photo tours to every corner of the world. Active in the environmental movement for most of his career. Lives with his partner and collaborator, Sherrill Miller, on an acreage outside Saskatoon.
